The Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) was launched in 2018. EDG is a single grant that supports companies in the upgrading of business capabilities, innovation and internationalization. EDG replaces the Capability Development Grant (CDG) and the Global Company Partnership (GCP) in the same year. EDG will support Singapore companies of all sizes on their growth journey through capability development and/or internationalization under three new pillars:
- Core capabilities
- Innovation and Productivity (Our specialization)
- Market Access
Thanks to EDG, local enterprises can enjoy up to 50% funding for qualifying projects.
To be eligible, your company:
- Shall be registered and operating in Singapore
- Has at least 30% local shareholding
- Is in a financially viable position to start and complete the project
All applications will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore who will take into consideration your needs, the project scope and the competency of the certified management consultants (Optimal Cost) to aid you in Process Redesign and Automation under Innovation & Productivity.
Till March 2024, local enterprises can enjoy up to 50% support from the governemtn via the EDG.
Sorry, the answer is no. Project can only kick-start on or after the project commencement date stated in your Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) application, after it has been submitted to Enterprise Singapore. The actual grant awarded is subject to Enterprise Singapore’s approval.
In most of all cases, Enterprise Singapore would give a feedback on the status of the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) application within 8 to 10 weeks after application submission. In case Enterprise Singapore identifies the application as being lack of clarity, documentation or in the event Enterprise Singapore requires additional clarifications or documents, processing time may be longer.
